meet the team behind i can make bags

For over 10 years, we've been teaching online and in-person shoemaking lessons in our sister school I Can Make Shoes. It was only a matter of time before we expanded into bag making too!

I Can Make Bags is a unique bag making school that equips complete beginners with the knowledge and skills to make their own luxury bags from home.

amanda

Founder

Amanda founded I Can Make Shoes back in 2010. As a native Aussie, Amanda did her footwear training in Sydney, Australia. It was when she moved to London that she realised it was really difficult to make shoes without all the machinery she was taught to use. She set out to develop a shoemaking process that makes the craft accessible for people to do from home and she’s been spreading the love of shoemaking ever since. Fast forward 14 years, Amanda has expanded the business into the realm of bags, with the goal of making the craft of luxury handbag making achievable and accessible from home. Perfecting her beginner-friendly bag making course took several years, during which she trained her team into becoming skilled bag makers too.
